ARCHITECTURAL INTENT

A monolithic cantilever standing guard over the vast, untouched Sonoran Desert expanse.

The Sentinel Pavilion is an assertive modern intervention designed to frame the raw, expansive horizon of the high desert.

Defined by a dramatic, razor-thin board-formed concrete roof structure that projects effortlessly over the deck, the pavilion offers essential shade without compromising sweeping views of saguaro-dotted plains and distant mountain ranges.

Below the concrete canopy, a mirror-like infinity edge pool seamlessly reflects the arid sky, flanked by a long, low-profile concrete fire plinth.

Integrated raw stone decking and native desert cacti blur the boundary between geometric architectural precision and the rugged surrounding landscape.

Materiality:

Board-Formed Cast Concrete, Sandblasted Concrete Plinths, Warm Travertine Decking, Native Fieldstone

Water Feature:

Mirror-Finish Infinity Pool, Shallow Reflection Basin

Surface Area:

1,600 sq ft
