ARCHITECTURAL INTENT
A subterranean desert sanctuary carved from volcanic stone and anchored by dramatic board-formed concrete cantilevers.
The Basalt Oasis is an expansive architectural retreat embedded directly into the rugged, dark volcanic rock formations of the desert hillside.
The design leverages terraced concrete volumes that step back into the landscape, framing a central courtyard dominated by a mirror-like pool and an integrated rock-face waterfall.
Beneath an arresting board-formed concrete cantilever canopy, a sunken fire lounge and aquatic bar seating area provide a shaded enclave for gathering.
Warm interior lighting glows against the cool gray of the cast concrete and wet basalt pavers, establishing a striking atmospheric balance between raw elemental forces and refined modern luxury.
